Introducing SNSAF

The ScienceX National Scientific Assessment Framework, or SNSAF, is the academic framework being developed by ScienceX to define how science learning should be assessed across conceptual understanding, application, reasoning, interpretation, and evidence-based problem solving.

SNSAF is not being presented as a completed technical framework yet. This page introduces the direction and public intent. The complete framework should be published only after academic review, question-blueprint validation, reporting rules, and governance checks are complete.

SNSAF is intended to make ScienceX assessments more transparent, more meaningful for schools, and more useful for students than marks-only reporting.

How SNSAF connects to NLSO and SAI

School reports	Institutional insight	Help schools understand cohort-level science readiness and learning-support needs where data is sufficient.

What SNSAF will define

Assessment constructs used in ScienceX science assessments.
Class and subject blueprint principles.
Question-writing and moderation expectations.
How conceptual, application, reasoning, and interpretation skills are represented.
How SAI-style reporting should be explained responsibly.
Minimum cohort rules before school-level comparisons are shown.
Limitations, safeguards, and appropriate interpretation.
Annual review, item-quality analysis, and framework improvement process.

Current publication status

This page is the public introduction to SNSAF. The complete framework document should be published after ScienceX completes the academic framework draft, expert review, reporting model, data-protection review, and approval workflow.
