Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Introduction

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the terms governing refunds, cancellations, credits, replacements, and payment-related matters for ScienceX Olympiads, assessments, educational programs, products, courses, subscriptions, publications, ScienceX Lab in a Box, and other services offered by ScienceX Innovations LLP through ScienceX Olympiads.

By registering for, purchasing, or using any ScienceX service, you agree to this Refund & Cancellation Policy in addition to the ScienceX Terms of Service.

2. General Refund Policy

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, all payments made to ScienceX are considered final.

Registration fees, examination fees, service charges, subscription fees, processing charges, and administrative fees are generally non-refundable.

Users are advised to carefully review all registration details, subject selection, class, payment amount, and other information before making payment.

3. Olympiad Registration Fees

ScienceX Olympiad registration fees are collected to support examination administration, technology infrastructure, question paper development, certificates, logistics, evaluation, and related academic activities.

Once a registration has been accepted, the registration fee shall normally not be refunded because academic and administrative processing begins immediately after registration.

4. Situations Where Refunds Are Not Available

Refunds will generally not be provided in situations including, but not limited to:

• Incorrect information submitted during registration.
• Selection of the wrong class, subject, or examination.
• Duplicate registration by the user.
• Failure to appear for the examination.
• Late arrival for the examination.
• Failure to meet technical requirements for online examinations.
• Voluntary withdrawal after registration.
• Disqualification due to cheating or misconduct.
• Failure to read official instructions.
• Failure to complete registration before the deadline.
• Personal scheduling conflicts.
• Internet or device issues at the user's end.

5. Duplicate Payments

Where the same payment has been successfully processed more than once for the same registration due to technical reasons, users should notify ScienceX as soon as possible with supporting transaction details.

After verification, ScienceX may refund the duplicate amount or adjust it against another eligible payment at its sole discretion.

6. Failed Transactions

If a payment fails or remains pending due to banking or payment gateway issues, users should first verify the transaction with their bank before making another payment.

ScienceX shall not be responsible for delays caused by banks, payment gateways, UPI providers, card issuers, or other third-party payment service providers.

Where payment is received successfully after verification, registration shall be processed accordingly.

7. Cancellation by ScienceX

ScienceX reserves the right to postpone, merge, reschedule, modify, or cancel any Olympiad, assessment, course, event, workshop, or educational program due to operational, technical, legal, administrative, safety, or force majeure circumstances.

Where a program is cancelled by ScienceX, the organization may, at its sole discretion:

• Reschedule the program.
• Provide an alternative examination date.
• Transfer registration to another session.
• Provide service credit.
• Issue a partial or full refund where appropriate.

8. Product Returns and Replacements

For physical products such as ScienceX Lab in a Box, books, merchandise, certificates, kits, or educational materials, replacement may be considered only where:

• The wrong product has been delivered.
• The product is damaged during transit.
• The product is materially defective.
• The product is incomplete due to packaging error.

Requests for replacement should normally be made within seven (7) days of delivery and may require photographs, videos, invoice copies, or other supporting evidence.

ScienceX reserves the right to inspect the claim before approving any replacement.

9. Digital Products

Digital products including e-books, downloadable PDFs, online courses, question banks, software, reports, certificates, or other electronic content are generally non-refundable once access has been provided or the download has commenced.

10. Subscription Services

Where ScienceX offers subscription-based services, cancellation, renewal, refund, or credit shall be governed by the specific subscription terms applicable to that service.

11. Processing of Approved Refunds

Where a refund has been approved by ScienceX, the refund shall normally be processed through the original mode of payment wherever reasonably possible.

Processing timelines may vary depending on:

• Bank processing time.
• Payment gateway policies.
• Credit card issuer procedures.
• Government holidays.
• Verification requirements.

ScienceX shall not be responsible for delays occurring after the refund has been successfully initiated.

12. Taxes

Where applicable, GST or other statutory taxes shall be governed by applicable tax laws.

Any adjustment of taxes shall be made in accordance with legal and accounting requirements.

13. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Users should contact ScienceX before initiating any chargeback or payment dispute with their financial institution.

Where an unauthorized chargeback is initiated after services have been provided, ScienceX reserves the right to suspend registrations, withhold certificates, deny access to services, or pursue recovery of outstanding amounts in accordance with applicable law.

14. Policy Updates

ScienceX reserves the right to modify this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Updated versions shall become effective upon publication on the official website unless otherwise specified.
